The radiographer operates radiologic (x-ray) equipment under the general direction of a physician to accurately demonstrate anatomical structures on the radiograph by applying knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and radiographic technique. Radiographers are also trained to perform these duties at the patient's bedside and in the operating room.
