2. Request transcripts from all colleges you have attended and your high school be sent to Northwest Florida State College - Office of Admission.

Admissions Requirements

  • Students may begin courses Fall, Spring, or Summer Semester
  • Proof of current Clear/Active RN licensure. It is possible for recent graduates of an AS in Nursing program to take limited courses in the BSN program.
  • Acceptance as a student at Northwest Florida State College, and the BSN Program
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75 in college credit course work & minimum of grade of "C" in all Florida Common Course prerequisites. Students with a lower GPA may be accepted on a conditional basis.
  • Completion of the standard Florida foreign language requirement (if at the time of admission, the student has not completed two years of the same foreign language in high school or eight credits in college, the student will need to complete eight credits of foreign language before completing the program).
  • Additional pre-enrollment conditions such as proof of immunizations, CPR verification, background check and drug screen must be satisfied prior to class registration.



Steps to Apply for Admission

  1. Submit completed Admission & Residency Forms
  2. Submit official high school and college transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities, to include official score reports from CLEP, DANTES, AP, and IB to NWFSC.
