The EMS Programs faculty are dedicated to your goal of becoming an Emergency Medical Technician. We realize that you are making a big commitment by considering Emergency Medical Services.

EMS Students

You will start your path in our modern classrooms where you will receive solid academic preparation. We will put that knowledge to practical application in our labs utilizing high-tech equipment and training aids. You will then be given the opportunity to take this training into real world applications in local Emergency Departments and with Emergency Medical Service ambulances. You might have the opportunity to help save a life while learning to do just that. Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics save lives and help those that are in need. You will also graduate the program with additional training that you will help you to secure employment. This is a career field that is every bit as rewarding as it is challenging and I invite you to take the challenge.

The EMS Department also offers an Associate of Science in Emergency Medical Services.

Northwest Florida State College - Paramedic Program has as its goal "to prepare competent entry level Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills) and affective (behavior) learning domains."
