Application for Admission

We are accepting applications for the Fall 2018 Northwest Florida State College Paramedic Program.  The deadline to apply is July 1, 2018.   

All students are required to take the HESI test. You must score a 75 or higher on each individual required section of the HESI in order to receive points for that section. Students may retake the HESI, but must wait 7 days between attempts. The HESI will be offered at the testing center. 

If you are military or transferring from another paramedic program, your transcripts and credentials will be reviewed on an indiviual basis. Please call 850-729-4924 to schedule an appointment.

 ****All students applying to the paramedic program must hold a current Florida certification as an EMT.

Paramedic Students Every day, lives depend on quick and competent pre-hospital medicine. Paramedics are the highest trained and educated pre-hospital provider of emergency medicine. In the Northwest Florida State College Paramedic program, students are provided the highest quality education to prepare to become competent leaders in the high pace work of Emergency Medical Services. The Program incorporates advanced learning opportunities by integrating Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, International Trauma Life Support, response to disasters and advanced clinical education.

The Paramedic Program is three full semesters beyond the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic level and prepares students to apply for the examination to Florida certified or Nationally Registered Paramedics.
