Distance Learning

Northwest Florida State College offers students the convenience and flexibility of earning course credits through various delivery modes so students may take control of their own education by working and learning at times and places convenient to them. In addition to traditional classes, NWF State College also offers online and hybrid class options:

Online classes at NWF State College provide students the convenience and flexibility to complete coursework at a distance. Online classes do not require face-to-face meetings on campus. A portion of each class will include a proctored exam or assignment which will be completed on campus for free with the option for students at a distance to use a remote or online proctoring service for an additional fee.

Hybrid classes offer a unique mixture of traditional face-to-face class meetings supplemented with online assignments and activities to provide students with the advantages of both traditional and online learning. In hybrid classes, students attend a reduced number of class meetings compared to a traditional class and the balance of the required course time is comprised of online assignments and activities. Hybrid classes offer the convenience and cost savings of fewer trips to campus, yet allow students to benefit from direct interaction with classmates and the instructor.
