Patrice A. Williams

Patrice A, Williams Patrice A. Williams is a full-time Professor of English at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida, where she teaches Composition I & II. She serves as the advisor for the NWFSC African American Student Association (AASA), an organization dedicated to the development of student leaders and as an Okaloosa County community 4-H club leader.

Professor Williams earned her B.S. in English and Psychology from the University of South Alabama, her M.A. in English Literature from the University of Mobile, and her Ed. S in English Education from Florida State University. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Professor Williams has a deep love for the art of writing. She was a participant in the 1998 Mobile Bay Writing Project and the 2006 Florida State University Writing Project. Her specialty in the field of composition is online learning communities. Over the past several years, she has given presentations and conducted workshops at the following conferences: Florida State University Writing Summit; Tallahassee, Florida (2006 & 2007), Florida College English Association Conference; Fort Pierce, Florida (2007), Writing Matters Conference; Baton Rouge, Louisiana (2008), 11th Annual Student Success in First Year Composition Conference; Statesboro, Georgia (2009), Georgia Conference on Information Literacy; Savannah, Georgia (2009), National Council of Teachers of English Convention; Orlando, Florida (2010).
