Training Opportunities: City/County
SUPERVISION INSTITUTE
(Okaloosa County, City of Destin, City of Fort Walton Beach, and Private-Sector Companies)
This institute is offered annually for each of the three public entities plus private-sector companies. It is a six-month training program for supervisors and high-performing employees who may become supervisors. Major topics included in the training are: Leadership, facilitating change, communication, ethics, motivation, decision making, problem solving, performance appraisal, employee complaints, conflict management, workplace violence, discipline, termination, drugs, training, health and safety, staffing, teamwork/teambuilding, and quality.
