Meredith FingarsonMeredith Fingarson
Lab Assistant

Meredith currently holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Central Florida and is working on a second BS in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Natural Science, from the University of West Florida.  She is working with the Kelly Institute as part of an internship requirement for her degree.  Her work with the Kelly Institute includes assisting with all lab management and research activities and assisting in planning the 3rd Annual Mattie Kelly Environmental Symposium on Choctawhatchee Bay and Choctawhatchee Estuary Family Festival.  For more information about these events, please click here.

Samantha SementilliSamantha Sementilli
Student Research Intern

Samantha is working on her AA degree and her high school diploma from the Collegiate High School at NWFSC with an interest in International Relations.  She hopes to one day work in the State Department.  Her work with the Kelly Institute involves weekly monitoring of the phytoplankton species present at two sites in the Choctawhatchee Estuary.  For more information about this research project, click here.

 

Teresa MezaTeresa Meza
Student Research Intern

Teresa is working on her AA degree with an interest in secondary science education.  She hopes to one day teach both biology and anatomy and physiology in the high school setting. She will begin the fast-track bachelor program with NWFSC soon and excitedly awaits her graduation in 2011. Her work with the Kelly Institute involves assisting with bioassay incubation experiments associated with the Red Tide project.  For more information about this research project, click here.

 

Robert TetlaRobert Tetla
NWFSC Collegiate High School Capstone Project Intern

Robert is working on his AA degree and his high school diploma from the Collegiate High School at NWFSC.   He is interested in pursuing a career in environmental engineering and hopes to one day work for the Department of Defense or another federal agency in the environmental field of study. He is working at the Kelly Institute as part of his senior capstone project graduation requirement for the CHS.  His work with the Kelly Institute involves assisting with several aspects of the Red Tide project, including helping with the bioassay incubation experiments and helping with the phytoplankton ID monitoring.  For more information about the Red Tide research project, click here.
