NWF State College- First in Debate at State Tourney

The Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) Forensics Team placed First overall in Debate at the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) State Championship Tournament held February 9 to 11 in Tallahassee. The college's six member team competed in 24 individual speaking events, as well as Parliamentary Debate and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. The team finished Third in the state overall in Individual Events and Third in the state overall for the entire tournament. NWFSC team members scored high in numerous individual events, which contributed to the team's high standing for the tournament. Individual honors included:

Nicholas Tyler Corbin of Niceville- who took 1st in Prose, 2nd in Poetry, 3rd in Drama, 5th in Pentathlon, and 6th in Extemporaneous Speaking. For debate he was 2nd in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and was Semi-Finalist & 4th overall in Parliamentary Debate.
Caleb Crow of Ponce de Leon placed 4th in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and was Semi-Finalist and 4th overall in Parliamentary Debate.
Kendall Gray of Crestview scored 6th in Communication Analysis, 6th in Duo Interpretation, and 5th overall in Parliamentary Debate.
Shiena Normand of Niceville was Semi-Finalist & 3rd overall in Parliamentary Debate.
Brittny Ostermann of Crestview took 3rd in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, 6th in Duo Interpretation and 5th overall in Parliamentary Debate.
Megan Rambo of Ft. Walton Beach was 6th in Poetry and was Semi-Finalist & 3rd overall in Parliamentary Debate.
