OWC Collegiate High Student Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist
Hannah Fay of Mary Esther, a senior at the Okaloosa-Walton College Collegiate High School, has been named as a semifinalist in the 2005 National Merit Scholarship Program. She will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 8,200 Merit Scholarship awards, worth $33.9 million, that will be offered next spring. She is one of only five Okaloosa County high school students named as a national semi-finalist. The national pool of semi-finalists represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, and includes the highest scoring entrants in each state.
