Degree/Certification & Program Length
The Paramedic Program is three semesters (one year) of study for beyond the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic level certificate. Graduates are eligible to sit for the Florida Paramedic certification exam and the National Registry examination. The curriculum forms the core of the Emergency Medical Services A.S. degree and students may add on general education credits and some college credit electives to the Paramedic Certificate to earn an Associate of Science degree in Emergency Medical Services.
