Fees and Financial Aid
Northwest Florida State College has traditionally offered classes with tuition rates at or near the lowest in the state. The upper division tuition ranges at Northwest Florida State College for the 2009-2010 year is $89.84 per credit hour. The tuition rate for the bachelor's degree programs and upper division courses are significantly lower than that charged by public and private universities in the state.
The usual forms of state and federal financial
aid are available to qualifying students, including Military
Tuition Assistance, Pell grants, Stafford Loans, Veteran's Assistance,
Northwest Florida State College student loans and the Florida Student Assistance Grants. Students
seeking state or federal aid will need to complete the "Free
Application for Federal Student Aid." Those who plan to begin
a program of study should submit the FAFSA as soon as possible after
receiving their most recent W-2 tax notice. Information on the FAFSA,
as well as an online submission option is available at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
A number of unique local scholarship opportunities specific to the
baccalaureate programs are available to qualifying students through
the Northwest Florida State College Foundation.
