BSN PinThe RN to BSN Degree Program is designed for Florida licensed Registered Nurses who are seeking a bachelor’s degree in nursing. If you are not an RN and want to become an RN, then see our Associate of Science (AS) in Nursing Program. If you are currently enrolled in an AS in Nursing program and want to discover how to obtain your BSN, please complete the Interest Form.

Upper division nursing courses are offered online and at the centrally located Niceville Campus, while fieldwork experiences are located in Okaloosa and Walton counties for student convenience. Fieldwork is scheduled by the students within a flexible framework of available dates, times, and sites.

Students can complete the program in 1-2 years and most students in the program have full-time careers as Registered Nurses. If you are an RN and interested in obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing we would like to talk with you. The Northwest Florida State College RN to BSN is nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and approved by the Florida Department of Education. For information on the college's regional accreditation, select this link.

For transcript evaluation, please do the following:

  1. Apply to Northwest Florida State College: Online Application or Mail-in Application
  2. Complete the Northwest Florida State College online orientation.
  3. Request transcripts from all colleges you have attended and your high school be sent to Northwest Florida State College - Office of Admission.
  4. Apply to the RN to BSN Program.
