How do I contact ACT or SAT?

ACT: www.act.org or (319) 337-1270

SAT: http://sat.collegeboard.com or (866)756-7346

Where do I report for testing?

Examinees report to the Student Services Center, in the front of the building by the curved driveway. Parking is located on either side of the building. To locate the building, follow the signs when you enter the main Niceville campus entrance at 100 College Blvd or follow this link for a map of the Niceville campus: Niceville Campus Map

You will be assigned to a testing room upon arrival.

What time should I report for testing?

Check-in begins at 7:45am. You must arrive no later than 8:00am or you will not be allowed to test.

I would like to register or I am registered for special accommodations due to a learning/physical disability that I have. What do I do?

Contact ACT or SAT for special accomodations requests. If you are registered, please advise the testing personnel when you report for testing so you are sent to the correct room. Northwest Florida State College only provides special accommodations for extended time testing on the Saturday test dates. If you need to test over a longer period of time than one day, then you should make arrangements to test at your high school.

What if I lost my admission ticket or never received an admission ticket?

You should be able to print a new ticket from the website if you registered online. If not, prior to the testing date, call ACT or SAT to verify that you are registered for the test. On test day, as long as your name appears on our admissions roster, then you will be allowed to test.

What should I bring with me to the test?

Do not bring your cell phone. You MUST bring a photo ID. You will not be permitted to test without a photo ID.The only exception to this rule are 7th and 8th grade Talent Search participants who are provided identification details with their registration information. Wear appropriate clothing. The testing rooms are frequently chilly, so dress accordingly. Vending machines are available for snacks.

What time does the test end?

ACT testing normally ends between 11:30am and 12:00pm, unless you are taking the writing portion. ACT with Writing ends around 12:30 p.m. SAT Testing ends at approximately 12:30 p.m. SAT Subject tests are each one hour long.

I missed the registration deadlines. Can I do standby testing?

Check the ACT and SAT websites for details about standby testing. Standby testing is permitted on a space-available basis. Plan to arrive at the testing center by 7:30 am and place your name on the standby roster. If space is still available at the start of testing, then you will be permitted to test. You must present the ACT online standby form or a completed SAT or ACT testing registration packet when you sign in. Registration packets are available upon request prior to test day at the Niceville campus Testing Center (850) 729-6016. Packets are available on test day, however, staff members are not permitted to assist you with completion of the registration materials.

I had a conflict the day I was scheduled to test. Is there any way I can still test?

Contact ACT or SAT to be certain you are eligible to retest. If you are, you may come to the test as a "Date Change". Plan to arrive at7:30 a.m. and place your name on the roster. If space is still available at the start of testing, then you will be admitted. You must bring your admission ticket with you in order to test.
