Convenience Fee FAQ

Can I make payments on my student's account by credit/debit card?
Yes. However, credit/debit card payments are only accepted online through RaiderNet. Beginning July 20, 2015, NWFSC will no longer accept credit/debit card payments by mail, in person, over the phone, or via fax. Computers are available at every campus for online payments. Credit/debit card payments are not processed by NWFSC. CashNet, a secure third-party payment service provider, processes online credit/debit card payments.
What credit/debit cards can I use to pay account charges?
You may make online payments with VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, or AMERICAN EXPRESS.
Why can credit/debit card payments only be accepted Online?
Credit/debit card charges will be processed by CashNet, not NWFSC. Because of that, NWFSC no longer has the ability to accept credit/debit card payments in person, by mail, over the phone, or via fax.
Is there a fee for using a credit/debit card for student account payments?
Beginning July 20, 2015, card users will be assessed a separate, non-refundable convenience fee of 2.75% of the payment amount at the time of each credit/debit card payment.
Why is a convenience fee added for credit/debit card payments?
The convenience fee charged by CashNet covers the cost of processing credit/debit card payments. Please note: NWFSC will not receive any part of the convenience fee.
Why can't I see the convenience fee charge on my student account?
The convenience fee is assessed by CashNet, not NWFSC, so it will not appear on your student account.
  Is the convenience fee refundable?
The 2.75% convenience fee is non-refundable. Any convenience fee disputes must be taken directly to your credit card company.
How can I pay my student account balance and avoid the convenience fee?
E-Check payments from checking and savings accounts will be accepted online through your RaiderNet without a convenience fee. NWFSC will accept check payments via mail and both cash and check payments in person at any NWFSC campus cashier window. Please do not send cash in the mail.
