Disability Awareness Information and Resource Expo

Agency for Persons with Disabilities - Receive essential information on new and existing programs. Center for Independent Living * Disability Resource Center - Learn about specialized telecommunications equipment distribution program for citizens of Florida who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf/blind and speech disabled. Florida Division of Blind Services - Helps blind and visually impaired individuals achieve their work goals and live their lives with as much independence and self-direction as possible. SHINE * Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders - Provides free unbiased and confidential information and assistance concerning enormous amount of Medicare information. Also, assist with enrollment into financial assistance programs to assist low-income beneficiaries with Medicare cost. Horizons - Explore current employment opportunities and receive information on support programs. Global Connections to Employment - Discover who we are, what we do & how to apply for GCE careers. Goodwill Easter Seals * Visiting Veterans - Secure volunteer opportunities for veterans & caregiver Also, find out about multiple employment opportunities. Northwest Florida State College - Speak with representative on career choices and education plans. Social Security Administration (SSA) - Find where to create a my SSA account, obtain a replacement SSA card and apply for retirement or disability. State Vocational Rehabilitation - Obtain up to date information on current programs and career opportunities being filled by qualified applicants at various locations across the panhandle.
