Donna Howsden
New lab assistant
Donna Howsden is working on her Masters degree in Environmental Science, with a concentration in Natural Science-research, from the University of West Florida. She is working with Dr. Beauregard and the Mattie Kelly Institute to aid in red tide research, phytoplankton species identification, and bioassay incubation experiments being conducted in Choctawhatchee Bay. Donna performs both field and lab work. Her work with the Mattie Kelly Institute includes assisting with all lab management and research activities
and providing office assistance the Institute may need.

Kristin Ratajczak
Research Intern
Kristin Ratajczak is an undergraduate student at the University of West Florida, studying Environmental Science, with a concentration in Natural Science. She is currently working with Dr. Beauregard and the Mattie Kelly Environmental Institute, assisting in red tide research. Kristin performs both field and lab work and assists with other office duties.
John Bowman
Student Research Intern
John Bowman is a Collegiate High Student, studying General Biology with dreams of researching green energy sources. He is working with Dr. Beauregard and the Mattie Kelly Environmental Institute assisting in the red tide research. John performs field and laboratory work with phytoplankton.
