NICEVILLE- The May 2017 graduates of the NWF radiography program recently received their American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) results which reported a 100% pass rate for their first attempt on the primary examination.

This achievement continues a historically strong showing of NWF radiography graduates on the ARRT. During the data collection period of 2012-2016, NWF radiography graduates experienced a 96% pass rate compared to the national average of 89%.

ARRT is the world’s largest organization offering credentials in medical imaging, interventional procedures and radiation therapy. Graduates of radiography programs state-wide must pass this credentialing examination to receive state licensure. “The percentage of NWF radiography graduates who successfully pass the ARRT exam on their first attempt is indicative of the program’s quality and its effectiveness at preparing graduates for entry-level positions as radiologic technologists,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President. “Congratulations to our students and our Radiography Department on this success.”

For the faculty and staff of the NWF Radiography program, this is validation of their continued efforts. “This pass rate reflects the hard work, determination and commitment to excellence that our students, faculty, staff, support centers and communities of interest all possess,” said Grace Stewart, Director of Radiography.
