NWF State College honors students earning teacher education bachelor's degrees

On May 5, Northwest Florida State College recognized students who successfully completed the college’s program for a bachelor’s degree in teacher education during the spring 2016 academic semester.

Jamie Ellis was presented the Excellence in Teacher Education Award. Five graduates were recognized as Teacher Education Honor Students: Amber Hayden, James Sweeney, Ashley Kempton, Brianna Thames, and Troy Dobson.  

Teacher Education graduates earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education are: Jamie Ellis (DeFuniak Springs), Amber Hayden (Westville), Megan Horton (Niceville), Arianna Hotaling (Valparaiso), Amanda Jordan (Crestview), Chelsea Lindaas (Santa Rosa Beach), Sophie Lukas (Crestview), Kayla Lynn-Clawson (Santa Rosa Beach), Kelly Moon (Mary Esther), Caitlyn Prewitt (Niceville), James Sweeney (Crestview), and Jessica Varner-Moulton (Freeport).

Graduates earning a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Mathematics are: Ashley Kempton (Niceville), Brianna Thames (Florala, Ala.), and Daniel Wilkerson (DeFuniak Springs).

Graduates earning a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Science are: David Troy Dobson (Baker) and Michele Stockton (Crestview).
