Two Collegiate High School Seniors Named National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists

National Merit Scholarship Semi-finalists Allison Keen and Kai Hall

NICEVILLE, FL- Collegiate High School seniors Kai Hall and Allison Keen were named semi-finalists in the National Merit Scholarship program. Of the 1.6 million entrants, the Collegiate High students are two of 16,000 semi-finalists based on their scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

“We’re very proud of these two students and their accomplishments,” says Collegiate High School Principal Anthony Boyer. “They are excellent representatives of Collegiate High School and the National Merit Scholarship program.”

Approximately 15,000 of the semi-finalists become finalists, but only about half of them will be awarded the recognition of a National Merit Scholar. The award winners are eligible to apply for thousands of scholarships worth more than $30 million combined.

“Our Collegiate High School students continue to be recognized among the best in the nation,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson. “I join with Mr. Boyer, the faculty and staff of our Collegiate High School, and our college to congratulate these students on this outstanding achievement.”
