Hunter Tackett named FCSAA baseball player of the year

Hunter TackettHunter Tackett, a sophomore on the Northwest Florida State College baseball team, has been named the Florida College System Activities Association player of the year.

Tackett helped lead the Raiders to a berth in the FCSAA state baseball tournament with a batting average of .441, including 10 home runs, 31 extra-base hits, and 58 RBIs. He also had 59 runs scored and 20 stolen bases.

Tackett, who was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2014 and transferred to NWF State College from Auburn University, hails from Knoxville, Tenn.
