Campus Highlights:
- Niceville campus - Houses the college administration & the majority of facilities, staff and programs.
- Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center - a 120,000 square-foot complex which hosts an annual series of national touring Broadway shows in a 1,650 seat main theater, and also houses a 195-seat theater, two art galleries which host traveling exhibits and house the college’s multi-million-dollar permanent art collection, a music wing, an art wing, a visual arts building and a 3,000 capacity amphitheater. In 1988 the college established the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, the region’s premiere professional orchestra that performs at the arts center.
- Community Services complex (under construction, completion 2010) houses a 2,400 seat sports arena and facilities for wellness/fitness, ROTC and other instructional programs. Entire complex is hardened to withstand 195-mph winds with the arena designed to serve as a public hurricane shelter. The complex includes an adjacent Okaloosa County building that serves as the 24/7 county 911 dispatch center, houses the county’s Public Safety administration offices and activates as the county-wide EOC (emergency operations center) in times of emergency (college classrooms at facility are designed to provide sleeping & relief space for emergency workers).

Crestview is one of the fastest growing communities in Northwest Florida. A branch of Florida A&M University’s Pharmacy School is in the active planning stage for location in Crestview. The NWFSC Sikes Center in Crestview houses 11 classrooms and 2 computer labs; facilities for the college’s Even Start Family Literacy grant program; and houses a collection of memorabilia from the late U.S. Congressman Robert L.F. Sikes.

The NWFSC Chautauqua Center in north Walton County serves nearly 1,500 residents annually with everything from adult basic education to college credit programs. The center’s director also serves as director of the college’s extensive two-county effort in adult basic education, GED, and ESOL, which serves more than 1,700 persons annually with free programs for adults who do not have a high school diploma, including GED instruction on-site at local correctional facilities. Community partnerships housed at the center include a Head Start child development program and the community offices for the area’s state representative.

Okaloosa County supports three military installations: Eglin Air Force Base, Hurlburt Field and Duke Field, collectively on the largest base in the world and the largest military installation in the Department of Defense (more than 724 square miles of land area and more than 123,000 square miles of water ranges in the Gulf of Mexico). Currently, the bases host 25,000 active-duty military personnel and 12,113 civilian jobs. In 2008, the military bases had a 1.7 billion dollar area economic impact. The bases also support a large retired military population of approximately 41,000. The college operates full time educational centers within the base education facilities at both Eglin and Hurlburt.

Opening in January 2010, the NWFSC South Walton Center is located adjacent to South Walton High School, the South Walton Library and the Walton County Government Center. With about 11,000 square feet of administrative and classroom space, the facility also houses the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, an environmental organization operated under the auspices of NWFSC.
