Minimum Faculty Qualifications for HIM

HIM - N (Course Not Intended for Transfer)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors in health services, health information, health administration; OR other bachelor's and demonstrated skills in health information management; OR current medical coder licensure with certification of 40 hours per year continuing education and a minimum of five years professional experience in the field

Additional Comments:

Demonstrated skills may be validated by medical coder coursework, medical coding certification, in-field work experience, and/or in-field associates or technical certificate
