Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE)
Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE) are norm-referenced tests designed to measure achievement of basic skills commonly found in adult basic education curricula and taught in instructional programs.
Effective July 1, 2012, all TABE will be administered at the Niceville campus of Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) in the Testing Center on the second floor of the Student Services Center for both NWFSC & non-NWFSC programs.
The TABE will be administered to NWFSC students who have been accepted into the Dental Assisting and Radiography programs. The TABE will also be administered for students who chose to enroll in the NWFSC Firefighter Basic PSAV program (program code 5095). There is no fee for these examinees.
The TABE is also available for examinees needing the test for employment consideration or for admission requirements to other schools. The fee for these examinees is $20.00.
