Physical Therapist Assistant

Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) work in a variety of treatment settings under the direction and supervision of physical therapists to provide skilled care to individuals of all ages who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their movement and performance of activities of daily living. Physical therapy is an essential element of patient care to promote the patient’s ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
