Brain Bowl
Brain Bowl is a team that competes in academic tournaments around the state in the fall and spring semesters. Tournaments consist of competing against teams from other colleges and universities, answering questions in multi-round matches on topics such as math, current events, history, art and music, geography and science. Phi Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year colleges. Membership into Northwest Florida State College's Sigma Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is by invitation only. It is extended by student email to those students currently enrolled at Northwest Florida State College who have completed a minimum of twelve credit hours at our college and have maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 in all college courses. NonTrad2Grad is a group for the diverse population of NWF State College students who did not enter college directly from high school. The group will support these students in a social environment by having monthly meetings and support them academically by acting as a resource for information about services at the college. Northwest Florida State College Student Ambassadors serve as the official hosts & hostesses of the college. They are well spoken, enthusiastic student leaders who represent the college at special events, campus visits and tours, alumni and foundation activities, commencement, and similar recruitment opportunities. The NWFSC Student Ambassador is a position of high esteem and an opportunity for students to have pride and ownership of their higher learning institution while building leadership skills and qualities.

Allen leads the college technology strategy and staff to ensure alignment with the institution’s vision and goals. Allen brings over 10 years of IT management experience in higher education, and has a proven track record in successful implementation of complex IT initiatives.
Pauline Anderson
Dean of Institutional Research, Analysis, and Planning
Pauline Anderson is responsible for research and data analysis in support of institutional innovation and decision making. She promotes communication between internal college constituencies to determine and clarify data needs and research requirements. She is also responsible for coordinating the reporting of college data to state and federal agencies.
Dr. Deidre Price
Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dr. Price has served the institution for over 15 years as Professor of English, Director of Learning Technologies, and Dean of Academic Strategies, Innovation, and Support. Dr. Price's work has led to the development of NWF Online, the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning, and the College's Quality Enhancement Plan, Engage NWFSC.

Dr. Slaton has more than twelve years of experience in community colleges and higher education. He joins us from West Kentucky Community and Technical College where he served as the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Chief Student Affairs Officer.
Randy White
Vice President of Business Operations and Finance
Randy White serves as the Vice President of Business Operations and Finance at Northwest Florida State College, a position he has held since 2014. White is responsible for college financial affairs, administrative services and safety. Before stepping into his role at NWF State College, White served as a Colonel in the United States Air Force.

Stephanie Linard
Executive Director of Academic Records & Enrollment
Stephanie received her degrees from The University of Alabama, a B.S. in Commerce & Business Administration and a M.A. in Management. She has nine years of higher education experience, the last six within the Office of the University Registrar at The University of Alabama, with four of those serving as an Assistant University Registrar. Her background is rich in student services experience within higher education, including student records, transfer credit evaluation and process improvement. She is an Alabama native, originally from Blount County, Alabama.

Mackey has more than 20 years of experience in the human resources field, serving in both the private and public sector. In her position, Mackey oversees the human resources staff and operations including talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation, benefits and more. Mackey is also the Equity Officer for the college.

Director, Athletics
During his tenure as Athletic Director, Ross has excelled at maintaining high standards set forth for the Raider Athletics Program. In addition to being amongst the most compliant two-year colleges in the NJCAA, and boasting incredibly high graduation and matriculation rates, the college enjoyed one of the most successful athletic seasons in the history of the National Junior College Athletic Association under Ross’ watch in the 2014-15 academic year.
Jeanette Shires
Director, Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center
Jeanette Shires serves as the Director of the Mattie Kelly Fine & Performing Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College, a position she has held since 2013. She is responsible for all daily operations, budgeting and management for the center which is the Emerald Coast’s primary cultural venue. The center serves more than 80,000 patrons annually and generates $750,000 to $1 million in revenue each year.
Dr. Anne Southard
Dean of General Education and Online Learning
Dr. Southard is currently responsible for General Education, Online Learning, and Teacher Education at NWF State College. She initiated the Grants Department for the College, which was awarded $1.3 million in a consortium Department of Labor grant in 2012. Dr. Southard implemented four baccalaureate programs in Teacher Education, and she played key roles in the two most recent SACSCOC accreditations, as well as leading the College’s 2016 Aspen Award submission effort.
Dr. Aimee Watts
Executive Director of Financial Planning and Scholarships
Dr. Watts has previously served the college as Interim Dean of Students, Director of Student Life, Adjunct Instructor, Academic Advisor, Financial Aid Specialist, Admissions Specialist, and as a part-time Staff Assistant in Athletics. She received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Troy University, a master’s degree in management with an emphasis in leadership from Troy University, and both educational specialist and doctorate degrees in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in diversity studies from the University of West Florida. She is a member of the Niceville-Valparaiso Rotary Club where she serves as Membership Chair and a high school mentor for the Take Stock in Children scholarship program.
