General Education Development Test (GED)

The General Education Development Test (GED) is administered to adult learners looking to achieve their high school equivalency credentials. The test consists of four components:

  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Reasoning Through Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Science

These four components do not have to be taken all at once. They may be taken individually.

Students who wish to take the computer-based GED exam will first create an account on the GED website, and then register to take the exam.

Candidates must be 18 years old to take the GED exam in the state of Florida. The current fee for each subtest is $32.00.
