Our Mission
The mission of the Costa Leadership Institute at Northwest Florida State College is to provide professional development for senior and middle management personnel through training opportunities for business, professional, government, military and nonprofit organizations. On February 2, 2012, NWFSC announced of the formal naming of the college's leadership program as the Costa Leadership Institute at Northwest Florida State College, in honor of local business Costa Enterprises, a family owned firm which operates 14 McDonalds locations spanning from Navarre to Port St. Joe. The naming recognized a major gift to the college's Foundation to underwrite the vital professional development and corporate training programs offered by the Costa Leadership Institute. Objectives
- Provide a series of ongoing professional development programs for senior management and executive professionals
- Conduct skill building workshops for middle management professionals and potential leaders
- Customize professional development training to fit the needs of business, professional, government, military and non- profit community
- Create an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes innovation, creativity and change in leaders from the public and private sectors
- Assist organizations in the development of customized strategic plans and other strategic needs
- Support community based strategic partnerships such as emergency management, public safety, sustainability, military transition
- Provide facilities to host association, community, governmental meetings and special events
