If your academic skills are below 9th grade level, adult basic education classes offer the opportunity to improve your skills in reading, writing, math, and English. After successfully completing an Adult Basic Education course, you may enter the GED preparation course. We also offer an English for Speakers of Other Languages course if English is not your primary language. Upon completion of your GED course, we can provide you with college credit transition services to help you prepare for a career or postsecondary education.
Courses are offered at all five campuses throughout the week. Contact your nearest NWF State College campus to register for a course.
College Credit Certificates
While certificate programs are the building blocks of a degree program, these course options provide an educational ladder to students wishing to alternate college studies with employment, or to work while attending college. Certificates are also excellent for helping you jump quickly into a new career, while providing resume-boosting skills.
