Northwest Florida State College Announces Partnership with Healing Paws for Warriors

NICEVILLE, FL–  Northwest Florida State College has established a new cooperative partnership with Healing Paws for Warriors (HP4W), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing post-9/11 combat veterans wounded from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other combat-related trauma.  HP4W is unique in the fact that all of their service dogs come solely from local pet rescues.

“At NWF State College, we take great pride in serving our military community,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President of Northwest Florida State College. “Healing Paws for Warriors places an emphasis on helping our veterans cope with trauma while working to end pet homelessness and we look forward to building this strong partnership.”

Through this partnership, HP4W will be able to utilize acreage on NWF State College’s Niceville campus for specialized training for their service dogs at no cost.

“We at Healing Paws for Warriors could not be more excited about our new partnership with NWF State College,” said Mike Arena, Executive Director of HP4W.  “This opportunity grants us an amazing place to train our service dogs while we strive to better serve our veterans in need.”
