Program Details

The Medical Assisting Program is a 1,300-clock-hour hybrid program that combines classroom instruction, hands-on lab experience, and includes a 200-hour real-world supervised clinical training experience.  The Program is limited to a maximum of 12 students on a first-come, first-served basis.  Students will be able to complete the program in 3 semesters. Students are eligible to take several certification tests throughout the program.

Students will be required to undergo a level 1 background check, a drug screen, and provide immunization records for clearance at the local healthcare facilities. To be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association certification tests, students must be at least 18 years old and provide a copy of their high school transcripts or equivalent documentation.

Applicants are required to complete all program admission requirements, which include a background check, a drug screen, and provide immunization records. Instructions for completing these requirements will be provided directly by the college.
NOTE: Enrollment is limited to 12 seats. Admission will be granted to the first 12 applicants who successfully complete all three required steps.
