Foster Student Engagement and Retention
Student Life strives to foster strong engagement from students in co-curricular activities so they may gain a sense of community and peer accountability. Engagement outside of the classroom helps to create more meaningful college experience and increases retention and success of students.
Develop Highly Marketable Student Leaders
Student Life develops and implements leadership programs and opportunities for student to learn valuable skills and experiences. These knowledge, skills, and abilities will make them more marketable in the workforce in addition to making them an involved and informed community member.
Cultivate Service Learning and Civic Engagement
Student Life provides support to students, student organizations, community service projects, and community activities that may enhance the quality of educational life for students.
Student Life Awards
Each year we take the time to recognize the outstanding achievements of our student leaders on campus and in the local communities. We present the awards to the students during the Student Awards Day Ceremony held in April.
Student Leader of the Year Award
This award will be given to recognize a student who had demonstrated outstanding leadership, academic achievement, innovation, and integrity at NWF State College and community. The recipient should have a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher and is in good standing with the NWF State College.
This award will be given to recognize a student organization that had the most impact at NWF State College. The award is based on a number of quality events hosted, development of members, and campus involvement. Organization will be granted $250 for the following year.
Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges was founded in 1934 by H. Pettus Randall Jr., The Who’s Who program is dedicated to the mission of honoring student achievement regardless of financial circumstance.
