The Office of Student Development and Campus Engagement oversees all aspects of Student Life to include, but not limited to, the Student Government Association (SGA), the Student Activities Board, the Student Life Advisory Board, and more than two dozen student organizations and programs to promote an understanding and appreciation of engagement and diversity.

Foster Student Engagement and Retention
The Office of Student Development & Campus Engagements promotes the social, physical and educational well-being of students by providing opportunities and experiences which support NWF’s vision for student development and engagement at the college as well as in the community.
Develop Highly Marketable Student Leaders
Through the formation and implementation of leadership programs, The Office of Student Development & Campus Engagement provides students with opportunities to learn valuable skills. Thereby, increasing their marketability and viability in the workforce, in addition to making them a more involved and informed community member.
Cultivate Service Learning and Civic Engagement
The Office of Student Development & Campus Engagement provides support and opportunities for community activities whereby students can enhance their group, organizational and interpersonal skills, gaining experience and a greater understanding of their respective communities.
Student Awards & Honors
Each year we take the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of our students. Held during the spring semester, in the month of April, the Student Awards & Honors ceremony provides an opportunity to recognize the academic achievements of our students both on campus and in the local community.
Student Leader of the Year Award
This award will be given to recognize a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, academic achievement, innovation and integrity at NWF State College and in the community. The recipient should have a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher and is in good standing with the NWF State College.
Nominate a Student
Student Organization of the Year Award
This award will be given to recognize the student organization that has had the most impact at NWF State College. The award is based on a number of quality events hosted, development of members, and campus involvement. The winning Organization will be granted $250 for the following year.

Gold Standard Award
The Gold Standard Award was created by Northwest Florida State College to recognize the academic achievements and involvement of students in campus activities and community initiatives.
Students who are earn this distinction awarded based on the following;
- 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Minimum of 24 total credit hours
- Involvement in at least one NWF State College extracurricular activity or student club/organization
- Participation in at least one community event or membership in at least one community organization
