NWF Student Selected as Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar

NICEVILLE, FL- NWF Student Jennifer Smalley was recently selected as a Gold Scholar on Coca-Cola’s 2018 Academic Team.

In addition to being named a gold scholar, Smalley will receive a $1,500 scholarship for the Fall 2018 term compliments of Coca-Cola.

“This is a huge honor for Jennifer and for NWF State College,” says Dr. Devin Stephenson, President. “We are extremely proud of Jennifer’s accomplishments, and we look forward to watching her continue to excel.”

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver and 50 Bronze Scholars with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Each scholar also receives a commemorative medallion.

Smalley’s selection was based on the score she earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,000 applications were received this year. This program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and is administered by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Phi Theta Kappa will recognize the 2018 Coca-Cola Academic Team Scholars on stage at PTK Catalyst, Phi Theta Kappa’s Annual Convention, April 19-21 in Kansas City, Missouri.
