Northwest Florida State College Holds Teacher Education Pinning Ceremony

NICEVILLE, FL– The Teacher Education Department at Northwest Florida State College held a pinning ceremony Friday, May 4, 2018, to recognize graduates that completed the Associate in Science in Early Childhood Education, the Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and the Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades General Science.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education program successfully completed the professional certification exam for Elementary Education K-6 and are Reading and ESOL endorsed. The graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Science program successfully completed the professional certification exam for Middle Grade Science Grades 5-9.
“We celebrate the achievements of our newest Teacher Education graduates,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President. “NWF State College strives to produce excellent, employable educators that will continue to make a difference within our community.”
Held in the Student Services Center, the pinning ceremony pays homage to graduates, and to the guidance, support and encouragement provided to graduates by faculty and staff, supervising teachers, family and friends throughout the teacher education program. The pin symbolizes a steadfast commitment to developing the full potential of all learners and to the education profession.
