Collegiate High School at NWF State College Receives Top Marks

Collegiate High School at Northwest Florida State College (CHS) has once again been rated as an “A” school.  School grades are based on a variety of criteria, including test scores, student learning gains, graduation rates and enrollment in accelerated classes.  CHS has received this top designation each year since 2002, when they first became eligible, marking seventeen consecutive years of academic excellence.

“The sustained achievements of our Collegiate High School students are truly remarkable, to say the least,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President.  “Their faculty and staff strive to remain a student-focused school, and these test results are evidence that they will continue to perform at the highest level.”

CHS also scored high on the Florida standardized test results with 97% of sophomores receiving a passing grade on the Florida Standards Assessment – English Language Arts (FSA-ELA) test.  CHS students also performed well on the US History End-of-Course exam with 99% receiving a passing score.  Statewide passing rates for these tests were 53% and 68%, respectively.
