Scottie Smith Named 2018 Teacher of the Year by The Welder Magazine

NICEVILLE, FL– Scottie Smith, NWF Professor of Welding, has been chosen as the 2018 Teacher of the Year by The Welder magazine. The Welder is a bi-monthly trade magazine used to showcase trends, emerging information, and real-world applications in the field and is distributed throughout the North American welding community.
“We are incredibly proud of Scottie and his accomplishments as he leads our outstanding welding program,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President. “They could not have chosen a better instructor as the 2018 Teacher of the Year, and his students clearly agree.”
Each year, a winner is chosen from a pool of reader-submitted nominations. Smith will be on the cover of the July/August edition accompanying a feature article.
