Seventh year of flat tuition approved by Northwest Florida State College Board of Trustees

NICEVILLE, FL – On June 16, Northwest Florida State College’s Board of Trustees voted to approve the College’s budget for the 2020-2021 academic year with no increases to tuition or fees. This marks the seventh consecutive year the Board of Trustees has held tuition flat for students.
“It is our mission here at Northwest Florida State College to provide high-quality, globally competitive education at affordable rates,” said Brian Pennington, chairman of the NWFSC Board of Trustees. “On behalf of the College’s Board of Trustees, we are committed to our students and the success of their educational and financial futures.”
In line with keeping cost affordable, NWFSC Board of Trustees also approved a decrease in general education textbook costs for students. The average cost of a new general education textbook decreased from $84.24 in Spring 2019 to $74.34 in Spring 2020.
“In response to all that is taking place in our nation right now, we remain committed to keeping our costs as affordable as possible,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, NWFSC president. “We are laser focused on improving lives, offering the high-quality education and growing the economy in our region and beyond.”
