NWFSC Foundation Announces Call for Alumni Award Nominations

NICEVILLE, Fla. – The Northwest Florida State College Foundation is excited to announce a call for nominations for its prestigious Alumni Awards. This annual recognition celebrates the exceptional achievements and contributions of our alumni who embody the College’s tradition of excellence. They bring distinction not only to themselves but also to Northwest Florida through their outstanding achievements.

The Foundation invites nominations for four distinguished categories:

  • Distinguished Alumni Award: This award honors alumni who have achieved remarkable success in their professional fields or academic endeavors, demonstrating outstanding leadership, character, and service.
  • Against the Odds Award: Designed to recognize alumni who have overcome substantial obstacles in their pursuit of excellence, this award highlights their resilience, determination, and inspiring ability to surpass expectations.
  • Rising Star Award: Aimed at celebrating the achievements of alumni under 40 years of age who have demonstrated significant potential, leadership, and commitment in their early career. This award seeks to honor those with a compelling success story, indicating potential for further achievement on a state or national level.
  • Hometown Hero Award: This category acknowledges alumni who have made significant contributions to their local communities through service, leadership, or volunteer efforts, positively impacting the lives of others.

“We are incredibly proud of the remarkable achievements of Northwest Florida State College alumni,” said Chris Stowers, NWFSC Foundation Director. “These awards are an opportunity to honor their success, dedication, and impact. We encourage friends, family, and colleagues to nominate deserving alumni to celebrate their stories and inspire others.”

Recognizing outstanding alumni is one way the Northwest Florida State College Foundation shows its commitment to showcasing the impact of NWFSC on the personal and professional lives of its graduates and the community in which it serves.
