NWF State College Students Medal at SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference

NICEVILLE, FL– On June 29, multiple NWF students received medals in individual and team competitions at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

Competition Results

Audio/Radio Production

  • Bronze—Mathew Hall (Santa Rosa Beach) and Samuel McClead (Fort Walton Beach)

Dental Assisting

  • Silver—Volha Franskevich (Miramar Beach)

Health Occupations Professional Portfolio (Dental)

  • Bronze—Lauren Moore (Crestview)

Career Pathways Showcase (Early Childhood Education)

  • Gold—Kaitlyn Crawford (Crestview), Kayla Greene (Niceville), Jamie Oldacre (Crestview)

Early Childhood Education

  • 5th Place—Christine Clark (Niceville)

Medical Math (Nursing)

  • 4th Place—Devin Andrews (Mary Esther)

“We are incredibly proud of our students’ performances at the national SkillsUSA competition,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President.  “These honors and awards demonstrate that NWF State College is not only preparing students to be workforce-ready, but we are excelling at the highest level.”

SkillsUSA is an educational partnership that provides students, teachers and other professionals with the tools needed to excel in the workforce. Each year, SkillsUSA puts on several competitions at the local, regional, state, and national levels to test the skillset of students who are preparing to begin their careers.
