NWF Student Selected as Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar

NICEVILLE, FL – NWF Student Zachary Lambert was recently selected as a Gold Scholar on Coca-Cola’s 2019 Academic Team.

In addition to being named a gold scholar, Lambert will receive a $1,500 scholarship for the Fall 2019 term compliments of Coca-Cola.

“This is a huge honor for Zachary and for Northwest Florida State College,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, president. “We are extremely proud of his accomplishments, and we look forward to watching him continue to make an impact.”

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver and 50 Bronze Scholars with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Each scholar also receives a commemorative medallion.

Lambert’s selection was based on the score he earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,000 applications were received this year. This program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and is administered by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Phi Theta Kappa will recognize the 2019 Coca-Cola Academic Team Scholars on stage at PTK Catalyst, Phi Theta Kappa’s Annual Convention, April 4-6 in Orlando.
