Early Childhood Education
Associate in Science
The Early Childhood Education Associate in Science (A.S.) degree at NWF State College is a two-year program that meets regional workforce needs by preparing students who have an interest and passion for working with young children, ages 0-4 years, in an early childhood setting. Early childhood education teacher classroom settings include private and public childcare programs, Head Start, military childcare programs, private and public preschools, and pre-Kindergarten programs. Students complete four college certificates within the program. NWF State College is also a Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Childcare Professional Credential (FCCPC), and Director Credential-approved provider. Students completing the A.S. in Early Childhood Education degree program can easily transition into the college’s B.S. Early Childhood Education degree program.
