Dr. Devin Stephenson to Receive Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Paragon Award for New Presidents

NICEVILLE, FL – Northwest Florida State College President Dr. Devin Stephenson has been selected by the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society to receive the Paragon Award for New Presidents.

These awards are given to new college presidents who have shown strong support of student success by recognizing academic achievement, leadership and service among high-achieving students at their college. Recipients were nominated for the award by the students on their campus. Stephenson will receive the award as part of PTK Catalyst 2019, the Society’s annual convention, in Orlando, Florida held April 4-6, 2019.

NWF State College’s Sigma Mu Chapter of PTK recently earned the designation of becoming an official Five-Star Chapter, an honor bestowed on the nation’s most elite and high-performing chapters. The Chapter worked diligently to improve their ranking from a One-Star Chapter to a Five-Star Chapter in two years.

“I am honored to receive the Phi Theta Kappa 2019 Paragon Award for New Presidents in April,” said NWF President Dr. Devin Stephenson.”I am also extremely proud of our Sigma Mu Chapter for working hard to earn the Five-Star designation. Leadership rose to the challenge to make the best our standard!”
